Our precious Lisa passed away this morning around 4am. All of the family was with Lisa and she was surrounded with love. She passed very peacefully and we all know she is with our loving God. In lieu of flowers, a college fund will be set up for the three girls, Jacqie, Jessica and Breann Evenson.
God Bless You All

Nothing but amazed...

Friday night's memorial service was nothing short of true amazement! Brad, Amy, Jeff, myself and our families want to thank the over 700 people (746) who took time out of their lives to come attend Lisa's "celebration." What a gift it was for us to see the lives touched by Lisa over the years.
I'm not sure there will be any more updates to her site here, but Amy and I will do our best to stay in touch with so many of you. It is hard to say "good-by" to so many who were once strangers to us and are now friends. Our hearts and homes will always be open to each and every one of you. I guess it is safe to say that if you were a friend of Lisa's then you are a friend of ours!
Happy Hearts....once again you went above and beyond pulling together all of the catering for Lisa's service. I believe I speak for everyone when I say a sincere THANK YOU for your love, time, energy and friendships! From the day of Lisa's diagnosis to 10:00 p.m. still cleaning up after the service you were there, both in action and in words. I pray your preschool and kindergarten classes always remain full and that so many touched by Lisa will see the good works done at Happy Hearts Christian Preschool/Kindergarten and send their children to you.
Thank you to Helen and Oliver for donating the gorgeous flowers that spread Lisa's cheerfulness and beauty to all. Pastor Jake, you did a wonderful job representing Lisa and the family through your words. Thank you to my children, Nichole, Katie, Jalynn and Ariel for singing words of praise to everyone in attendance. Jacqie-you were amazing with your tribute of your mom's life, Jessica-the slideshow brought laughter and tears of your mom's beautiful memory with her radiant smile showing in every picture! Megan-great job reading the bible scripture. I'm such a proud mommy and aunt!.
Many of you know Lisa loved Starbucks coffee. So a quick FYI here, the Starbucks located in the Commons donated coffee and cups for Lisa's service after hearing about how often she would frequent a Starbucks location. We encourage you to grab a coffee there and share a quick "thank you" with Brita, the store manager. She came through on very short notice :)
A HUGE thank you also goes out to all of the staff at St. Luke's Lutheran Church for helping us with the details we may have forgotten.Thank you to the St. Luke's men's softball team for handling all of the clean-up following the service, and to Lind Simonson for video taping the service. If I forgot anyone, please forgive me.
May each of you always be blessed with God's love and strength,
Andrea Ryker
